Born and raised in New England, Dr. Flebotte earned his undergraduate degree in Biomolecular Science from the School of Technology and Engineering at Central Connecticut State University. He earned his Doctorate from Inter-American University School of Optometry where he received a distinguished award for clinical excellence. During his time in optometry school he was an active member of the Lion’s Club and attended several mission trips to provide comprehensive eye care to under-served communities.
Dr. Flebotte went on to complete his residency training in ocular disease with The Ohio State University where he received extensive training in the management and treatment of glaucoma, retinal pathology such as macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy and pre/post-operative care. He chose to further his commitment to patient care by completing his fellowship with the American Academy of Optometry and is a member of the Academy’s glaucoma and retina special interest groups. He is also a member of the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association and the American Diabetic Association.
Dr. Flebotte is board certified, being awarded the honor of diplomate status with the American Board of Optometry. He has served as a clinical investigator for glaucoma research and has presented at national eye conventions. He enjoys practicing medically based eye care and is currently accepting new patients.
